RedCube is an investment company that invests in early stage start-ups. We are looking for an intern for one of our portfolio companies.

The ideal candidate...
should be self-standing, motivated and skilled in using email, Microsoft Word & Excel and the Internet. He or she should also have an excellent command of the English language. The candidate could be a recent graduate or a current student (graduate / post-graduate course) in either engineering, economics, business or related disciplines. The candidate can work from any location, but must have access to broadband Internet and phone during the day.

The job will be...
a combination of sales, marketing and new business development. The candidate will be expected to generate lists of potential contacts and proactively reach out to them (mostly by email) and follow-up (through email and telephone). The candidate will be occasionally expected to write content for the website as well, but knowledge of authoring HTML though a plus, is not necessary.

The candidate can expect to work in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment. While he / she will have the freedom to chart his own path to deliver the results expected, the intern can also expect frequent enriching interactions with the head of marketing and the CEO.

Remuneration...
will be in line with qualifications. Well qualified candidates can expect approximately Rs. 5000 per month. Any expenses incurred during the internship will have to be paid by the candidate, unless it is with prior approval.

The duration...
is initially for 2 months, with an interim review at the end of the first month. If the performance is below expectation, the internship will terminate after the first month. However, candidates who show excellent performance have the possibility to continue work beyond the two months, either on a part-time or a full-time basis.
